Essential Functions of Employment with DLO:• Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day• Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform• Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis
Main Duties: Performs routine testing in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, coagulation and microbiology. Assist with specimen processing as needed. Follow employer policies. Work with fellow employees in a professional, productive manner. Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Main responsibility will be duties in the clinical laboratory. Additional duties will include assisting supervisor/manager with special projects/assignments.
Required Knowledge: Understanding of standard laboratory processes and procedures. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must have a good understanding of laboratory quality assurance standards. Must have good computer skills.
Required Experience: AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology. ASCP MT/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MT/MLT certification.
Special Requirements: Good customer service skills is a must. Some phlebotomy tasks will be required. Holiday and weekend rotation may be required. May be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.
