Divisional Manager - Power & Transmission Services Sector

£70,000 - £100,000 + Bonus Scheme + Shares + Benefits + Package

Please note: This role is being treated with high confidentiality. The company's Transmission Services Division plays a key role in supporting the UK's energy infrastructure, focusing on the maintenance and painting of high-voltage pylons and associated assets.

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead and grow the Transmission Services Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational and commercial performance of the business unit, ensuring delivery of high-quality services to clients while driving profitability and aligning with the strategic goals of the Group.

This leadership role requires an individual with deep industry knowledge, commercial acumen, and a strong track record in managing overhead infrastructure projects.

The role demands hands-on management of teams, projects, and client relationships, ensuring compliance, safety, and performance across all functions.

The Role
  1. Leadership & Management
  2. Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team and field operatives
  3. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  4. Set clear expectations, objectives, and performance metrics for the division
  5. Ability to lead a division with autonomy, responsibility, and a clear path to growth
Strategic & Financial Oversight
  1. Develop and deliver divisional business plans in line with company strategy
  2. Own and manage the division's profit and loss account, ensuring revenue growth and cost control
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the transmissions and critical infrastructure sectors
Operational Delivery
  1. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of maintenance and painting contracts on high-voltage pylons and related infrastructure
  2. Ensure all works meet client specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  3. Ensure strong project and resource planning to deliver on time and within budget
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including DNOs, Grid, and principal contractors
  2. Act as the main point of contact for major clients and partners regarding divisional performance and delivery
  3. Represent the Group in industry forums and networking opportunities
Compliance & Safety
  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, industry standards, and company procedures
  2. Promote a proactive safety culture and lead investigations into incidents and near misses where necessary
