Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for 2 Divisional Finance Manager posts at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join our Finance team.

The successful applicants will be responsible for providing a high quality and comprehensive accountancy service to ensure immediate and long-term financial viability and stability to the directorates within the organisation. Candidates should be future focused with a passion for improving patient care and demonstrates commitment to achieving both their own and the Trusts goals.

The Trust's Finance department is Future Focused Finance level 2 accredited; we are passionate about the training and development of our team and this is embedded in our culture. In addition, we are looking for strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and be able to challenge and influence others. The successful applicant will be CCAB qualified or a passed finalist.

The posts are based at Sunderland Royal Hospital Trust Headquarters site; however, hybrid working is in place in the Financial Management Team.

Main duties of the job

The role will encompass a high degree of the following disciplines:

- Provision of high-quality financial advice and business support to Trust headquarters service Divisions.

- Financial planning, reporting, and forecasting

- Expertise of managing or supervising staff

Desirable:

- CCAB Qualified Accountant

- NHS Finance Experience

- Good understanding of the local health economy

- Knowledge of the services provided by the Trust.

- Experience of presenting financial information for non-finance audiences

Essential:

- CCAB Passed finalist.

- Significant experience of working in Finance in a large or complex organisation

- Sound understanding of the NHS financial regime.
