Divisional Finance Business Partner - Medical Sciences Division

We are seeking a Divisional Finance Business Partner to join our team. This role, while formally part of the Central Finance Division, is embedded within the Medical Sciences Division and reports to the MSD Deputy Divisional Financial Controller.

Location: Medical Sciences Division Divisional Office, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford

Salary: £48,235 - £57,255 with a discretionary range to £62,407

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Medical Sciences Division is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for biomedical and clinical research and education, and the largest of the four academic divisions in the University. About the Role

You will be part of a dynamic team that provides a comprehensive financial business partnering service, supporting the Division and its Academic Departments with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring, management reporting, investment appraisal, capital management and other high-level financial tasks.

You will act as a critical friend to university professors, research scientists and senior departmental administrators, offering strategic financial advice to support world class medical research and the achievement of the university's academic goals.

In addition to proven financial business partnering experience, the post holder will need excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to customer service, and a flexible, 'can-do' attitude. You will have the ability to navigate and respond effectively within a complex environment, balancing local needs with the Division's and University's strategic objectives.
