Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Senior Nurse with a District Nursing qualification to join the community nursing team in Enfield.

The District Nursing Team Manager is responsible for managing patient care within a specific geographical area, leading and managing the team members, and ensuring high-quality holistic nursing care in the community. The role involves working with the Caseload Manager, contributing to performance targets, and leading change to improve efficiency and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the district nursing team, including shift coverage and resource allocation.
  2. Lead and develop staff, ensuring continuous professional development and skill mix optimization.
  3. Participate in HR functions such as recruitment, appraisals, and performance management.
  4. Support team members in meeting performance expectations and address issues proactively.
  5. Promote clinical development and ensure participation in training programs.
  6. As an Independent non-medical prescriber, manage clinical assessments and prescribing decisions responsibly.
  7. Work collaboratively with hospitals and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient transitions and reduce hospital admissions.
  8. Interpret health and social care policies, leading their implementation at team level.
