We are recruiting for a Team Manager -- Clinical Academic Pathway within our integrated Neighbourhood Team with responsibilities for District Nursing and across other services in Bridgwater!
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership and management of the six district nursing teams and other services as our Neighbourhood continues to evolve to meet our population needs. With an expectation that this is in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints.

We welcome applications for colleagues who are pre-doctoral with evidence of intent to complete doctoral studies or are established in academia and wanting to establish a clinical academic post. You will ensure a high standard of care and treatment for patients and work with other members of the Integrated team and other agencies to best meet the patients' health and social needs.
You will play an active role in the development of services in line with the Trust's Strategy and NHS 10 Year Plane.
You will provide clinical support and supervision to staff within the teams and provide clinical leadership.
Have a strong focus on research and be research active, with anticipation of working across NHS and Higher Education Institutions.
You will have responsibility for the operational management of the staff in the Team.
Undertaking workforce and skill-mix planning and managing the allocation of the workforce with regard to operational, financial and clinical management.
Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care.

To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management and to support junior staff to do likewise.
Formulating and delivering an individual treatment programme based on advanced knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment/therapeutic options, using expert clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills.
Ensuring that designated staff implement policy and service development changes.
Ensuring own professional competence and credibility, being aware of research findings, trends and developments in professional practice by maintaining a presence in clinical areas working with staff, patients, clients and carers in an advisory, teaching or support capacity.
