Overview

Are you an experienced nurse, District Nurse Locality Lead or Advanced District Nurse Specialist seeking your next leadership opportunity?

As part of the transformation around the centralisation of the Triage Desk, we are recruiting for a new permanent District Nursing Lead for the Triage Desk. This role offers a unique chance to shape and lead a newly established team within the District Nursing service, driving forward the triage function and enhancing service delivery. Based in Abingdon and part of the South localities leadership team, we are seeking a self-motivated and flexible individual with strong leadership and communication skills and a passion for service development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong, integrated clinical leadership and management of the District Nursing Duty Desk team.
  • Lead on the educational agenda in the area and on specific educational work streams.
  • Lead on service development in the District Nursing team, particularly important for a new team without established ways of working.
  • Act as a conduit between the integrated leadership team and the District Nursing team.
  • Be accountable for the management, development and supervision of identified staff within the team.
