Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in Eastbourne is seeking a District Nursing Clinical Lead for a part-time 33.25-hour week. The role is NHS AfC Band 7, permanent, with a 7-day service and hours 08:00–18:00, offering a pro rata salary of £49,387 – £56,515 per annum.

You will provide clinical leadership to a Community Nursing team, drive quality improvements, and collaborate to deliver safe, high-quality patient care across a Locality within the PCN framework.

Qualifications

• Registered District Nurse with Community Specialist Practitioner qualification.
• Non-Medical Prescriber V300 or willing to undertake.
• Proven experience leading district nursing teams and managing caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and line management to a Community Nursing team.
• Lead delivery of a 7-day service (08:00–18:00).
• Assess new and complex patients in their own homes and plan and evaluate nursing interventions.
• Support delivery of the Enhanced Health in Care Homes framework.
• Promote clinical governance and quality improvement within the team.
