Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council invites applications for the District Library Manager, South Cambridgeshire, based at Cambourne Library. The role is 30 hours per week on a fixed term basis until March 2028, leading ten libraries across the district and shaping library services for growing communities.

You'll lead a diverse team, develop partnerships, drive service improvements, and contribute to strategic planning as part of the Library Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a large team across multiple sites.
• Ability to balance operational demands with long-term vision.
• Comfort using data to inform decisions and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead across a network of ten libraries, ensuring welcoming, inclusive and responsive services.
• Develop partnerships and pursue service improvements and community engagement.
• Contribute to the Library Strategy and strategic planning as a member of the Library Leadership Team.
• Mentor staff, build talent, and create a resilient, adaptable workforce across the district.
• Support community libraries and collaborations with local organisations.
