Distribution Specialist - South West England

Area: South West UK

Location: M40 corridor (other locations accepted)

Axalta, a leader in the coatings industry, is seeking a Distribution Specialist to manage distributor performance in the Home Counties and Southwest England. The role involves working closely with the local sales team to achieve distribution purchase targets, profitability, growth, and maintain brand standards.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Act as the primary contact for local distributors in the region.
  2. Develop and implement a sales plan targeting distribution growth, profitability, and sales of Axalta & U – Pol products and services.
  3. Coordinate sales activities with the sales team and other relevant functions.
  4. Identify opportunities to expand distribution footprint, including new lines and stock points.
  5. Manage distribution needs collaboratively across departments.
  6. Analyze industry trends to retain current customers and attract new ones.
  7. Communicate the benefits of Axalta & U – Pol products effectively.
  8. Innovate and pursue new market opportunities.
  9. Conduct regular follow-ups with distributors to ensure results.
  10. Build strong relationships with distributors while aligning with company goals.
  11. Ensure proper use of CRM software.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in the Automotive Refinish industry or automotive aftersales market.
  • Proven sales record with ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • Experience managing relationships with top-tier customers/distributors preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and result-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills in English.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
