Distribution Manager
45 Hours per week
Working hours: Flexible working hours, generally based around core business hours. Exact start and finish times can be agreed with your manager depending on workload and operational needs.

Brand new and exciting opportunity to work within the Transport Team - part of Sysco GB within our Brakes Depot in Newark. If you're an experienced people manager who has knowledge on Transport compliance, then we want to hear from you!

We are looking for an experienced Distribution Shift Manager who lead and motivate our transport department along with a small team of administrators. You'll be involved in a wide variety of tasks from HR, recruitment, budgeting and keeping a well-rounded approach to employment related issues to driving a continuous improvement culture and preparing for and supporting audits. The position will be customer facing both internal and external we need someone with an ability to resolve any issues to ensure our reliable reputation is maintained.

To join us in this role, you need to be keen and willing to take accountability of our fleet and workforce. You\'ll need to have knowledge from CPC management and strong understanding of transport compliance reinforcing the importance of getting the job done timely and safely. This is a varied role where you will be not only be ensuring all costs are in line with the budgetary requirements but also acting as the lead person in creating the correct environment for our colleagues. Leading by example you\'ll set and maintaining standards in service, health, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Drive a continuous improvement culture and prepare for and support audits. Resolve customer-facing issues to maintain Brakes\' reliable reputation. Ensure timely and safe completion of tasks while managing costs in line with budgetary requirements. Act as the lead person in creating the correct environment for colleagues and uphold standards in service, health, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

Knowledge of CPC management and a strong understanding of transport compliance. Ability to take accountability for the fleet and workforce. Strong leadership and people management skills. Commitment to safety, service quality and regulatory compliance.
