Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Distribution Manager to join our Public Markets Distribution team focusing on our Solutions business area.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborating closely with the Head of Solutions Distribution and investment stakeholders, supporting activities including sales, product development, and strategy across LDI, B&M credit, derivative overlays, and FM/OCIO (with a preferred focus on the latter).
- Managing a pipeline of new business activity, owning the full sales cycle process – partnering closely with investment and client teams for coordination and sales messaging.
- Partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders (including consultants, professional trustees, and direct relationships), retaining and extending ratings.
- Developing a strong understanding of L&G’s clients, products, and services to drive conversations with clients and consultants on L&G’s unique proposition.
- Supporting the Head of Solutions Distribution in executing sales plans across regional channels (including the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia) and institutional investor types.
- Deepening understanding of L&G’s clients, products, and services to lead conversations with clients and consultants on L&G’s unique proposition.
Qualifications - Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in the investment/asset management industry ideally with a sales exposure.
- Strong knowledge of OCIO / FM from a sales and/or investment perspective, supported by good knowledge across LDI, B&M, and derivative overlay (direct sales exposure to all not expected).
- Strong knowledge of current investment market and economic issues.
- An established external investment consultant and professional trustee network with a desire to extend.
- Awareness of the global institutional client universe and differing needs.
- Ability to field questions from consultants – directly and with support from partner teams.
- Consultancy-type skill set, ability to 'scope out' client requirements.
- Ability to tailor the content and style for audiences with different levels of sophistication, with a passion for simplifying as appropriate.
