Are you ready to coordinate logistics for Heidelberg Materials?

We’re looking for a Distribution Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the supply chain for the Sizewell contract. This is your chance to be part of a high-impact team, ensuring seamless delivery of materials across road, rail, and marine networks.

Location: Chipping Sodbury - May have to travel to Quarries

Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 Dependent on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week + paid overtime

What You’ll Be Doing

Orchestrating the supply chain into Sizewell and associated works.

  • pre planning deliveries
  • taking orders and inputting into SAP
  • allocating truck deliveries
  • making delivery bookings on the clients delivery management system (DMS)
  • making visitor bookings on the clients visitor management system (VMS)
  • monitoring daily deliveries
  • Monitoring deliveries and resolving issues in real-time.
  • Liaising with customers and internal teams, contractors, and third-party suppliers.
  • Supporting deliveries by rail and sea
  • Ensuring full compliance and documentation for all site deliveries.
  • Supporting logistics operations across multiple depots as the project evolves.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high levels of customer service and delivery accuracy.
  • Liaise with clients and contractors to align on delivery expectations.
  • Track performance against KPIs and ensure +95% compliance.
  • Minimise hired-in fleet usage and maximise core fleet efficiency.
  • Contribute to fleet reviews and risk assessments.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in Distribution and customer service.
  • Strong communicator and team player.
  • Strong working understanding in exel.
  • Ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure.
  • Open-minded with leadership potential.


Qualifications

  • Minimum GCSEs including Maths & English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP (or similar systems) and Exel.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
