Job Description

We are currently recruiting an outstanding Distribution Centre Manager to join our highly experienced senior management team. As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will have autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day management of your depot.

You will also be accountable for:

1. Achieving all depot objectives in terms of health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and cost
2. Delivering outstanding service to our customers with a team driven to excel
3. Providing a safe and healthy environment for your teams
4. Encouraging a competitive environment with clear productivity and service level targets
5. Managing the depot through P&L via effective planning and reporting

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• Experience in the logistics or distribution industry, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with a daily throughput of 25,000+ and a workforce exceeding 250 employees
• Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing strategy and liaising with directors
• Decisive and effective decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
• A passion for building and motivating high-performing teams
• Resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility to resolve problems effectively
• Alignment with DPD's core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
• Availability to work any 5 shifts, including weekends, as our depots operate 365 days a year
• A full UK driving licence is essential
