Job summary

Responsibilities

• Set direction for shift team and ensure safety, quality and productivity targets.
• Lead cross-functional improvement activities and PDCA cycles.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and traceability.
• Manage inventory, root-cause analysis and corrective actions with stock controllers.
• Oversee DC yard, palletizer, IBC and silo areas including waste and security.
• Handle inbound/outbound deliveries and support customer complaints or supplier deliveries.
• Manage rotas, holidays, sickness and overtime for the team.
• Participate in interviews, onboarding and development of team members.
• Prepare stock picks for various teams and act as stand-in Warehouse Manager when needed.

Rotating shift 3 on / 3 off (day/night, night/day)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setting the direction of shift team and ensure overall performance of the department to meet objectives for safety, quality, process reliability, productivity, food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
• Participating in and/or leads cross-functional improvement teams and other HPO (High Performance Organization) activities.
• Ensuring product and service meets all compliance and food safety regulations and complete all follow up activities.
• Maintaining inventory control and traceability and work with Stock Controllers to investigate, execute, and communicate root cause failure analysis, including recommending and implementing resolutions.
• Managing the DC yard, Palletizer area, IBC management and including management of SILO area, waste management and Security.
• Manage all inbound deliveries and outbound collections as per schedules, support in customer complaints or supplier deliveries.
• Manage rota’s, holidays, sickness, overtime requirements for your team
• Participating in the interview process, on-boarding and early development of team members.
• Picking stock for customer collections, production areas, quality team, R&D (research & development) teams.
• Acting as stand-in Warehouse Manager as needed.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Relevant Warehouse operations experience, ideally to include proven experience in automated solutions and food operations.
• Ability to provide daily direction and manage a team of up to 13 operators
• Relevant Leadership experience: ability to provide daily direction, coaching, setting targets and performance management of team.
• People management experience, ability to perform attendance reviews, disciplinary meetings, fact finding, conflict resolution and investigations.
• Experience of working with Logistics 3PL providers.
• Office 365 & SAP or other enterprise resource planning tool; mechanical aptitude; presentation skills.
• Strong coordination ability.
• Able to build and maintain contacts across the Plant.
• Ability to teach/coach direct team in operational area / key interface with other areas/teams within the Plant and contributes to the Plant results.
• Equal understanding on manufacturing and warehouse operations environments.
• Strong understanding of PDCA (plan-do-check-act) methodology and able to facilitate and/or participate in problem-solving discussions with team or cross-functional team.
