Distribution Account Manager

Overview

Our client is looking for a Distribution Account Manager (DAM) to develop and execute our national distribution strategy for one of the most popular electric vehicle charging solutions on the market. Our unique blend of advanced features, affordability, and top-tier endorsements from leading energy suppliers has put us on track for extraordinary growth through the channel in the next 18 months. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the DAM will manage the clients distributor relationships and drive both strategic and operational excellence to meet ambitious revenue and market-share goals. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Customer Care, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Revenue) to exceed customer service expectations while boosting profitability.

Your Main Tasks

  1. Implement and execute the clients channel strategy aligned with our EV charging technology roadmap.
  2. Segment distribution accounts, establish ‘service level agreement’ based volume commitments, and maintain effective scorecard processes to ensure accountability and mutual incentives.

Professional Channel Management

  1. Conduct Key Distributors’ quarterly business reviews, providing feedback and directions for Product Management.
  2. Ensure distributors provide Point-of-Sale (POS) and inventory data in line with client distribution policy.
  3. Leverage digital methods (trade portal/e-commerce, digital product showcases, etc.) to establish sustainable growth in the channel.

Relationship Building

  1. Build strong engagement with top distribution accounts and internal key account managers, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  2. Develop and meet sales plans and growth targets in your territory through direct and indirect channels (POP and POS).
  3. Drive increased market presence and share gains via a well-structured, high-performing distribution network.
  4. Monitor and adapt strategies based on market dynamics to ensure the client remains a top choice for EV charging solutions.

Demand Generation & Growth

  1. Drive the clients revenue growth by identifying and executing new sales opportunities in partnership with regional sales teams.
  2. Coordinate product launches with distributors, ensuring each partner has the support and training needed for success.
  3. Use competitive insights to recommend initiatives that grow market share.
  4. Execute the clients product family strategy for the distribution channel, collaborating with product management, sales, and marketing.

Your Ideal Background

Education & Experience

  1. At least 5 years of B2B channel sales management or product management experience
  2. Demonstrated track record of successfully designing and executing strategic growth initiatives.

Essential Market & Product Knowledge

  1. At least 1 year experience in the e-mobility, renewable energy, or energy transition space in sales or operational capacity
  2. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (Pricing, Quality, Customer Care, Engineering) to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.

Skills & Attributes

  1. Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Exceptional analytical abilities with the know-how to interpret data and make informed, strategic decisions.
  3. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment; able to work independently and across diverse regions.
  4. Effective presentation and negotiation skills to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the UK.
  6. Strong IT proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, Tableau) for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
