Crisp Malt supply the finest UK malt to the brewing and distilling industry across the globe; from the independent small craft brewery and whisky distiller to large global beverage companies. They combine traditional and modern malting techniques at sites in England and Scotland, supplying the best malt for their customer’s award-winning beers and whiskies.
They are now looking to recruit a Distilling Key Account Manager, home-based in Scotland, who will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with leading distillers across the UK.
Key Duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and execute structured account engagement plans to retain and grow key distilling customers.
• Build deep, trust-based relationships with technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities aligned to our growth strategy.
• Understand customer processes, demand plans, and quality requirements to offer relevant solutions.
• Monitor account performance and forecast demand using internal tools and systems.
• Lead proactive conversations around quality, LTAs, and sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with planning, customer service, procurement, and marketing to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.
• Represent the business at industry events.
Qualifications and skills:
• Degree-level education preferred – ideally in business, science, engineering or a related field (e.g. brewing & distilling, food science, business management, or agriculture)
• Minimum 3–5 years in a customer-facing role, ideally in the distilling or brewing sectors
• Experience identifying and converting new business opportunities
• We would encourage applicants from a technical background who have customer facing experience. Full commercial training will be provided.
• Familiarity with commercial, supply chain planning, quality assurance, and contractual negotiation.
• Comfortable engaging both technical and commercial stakeholders (e.g. distillers, procurement managers, sustainability leads)
