A varied and exciting role that incorporates all aspects of distilling production. A diverse role where you can develop both yourself and the process at a time where all sites are undergoing focused improvements and expansion.

Meaningful Work From Day One

You will lead and manage distillery production operations at Benriach, Glendronach, and Glenglassaugh distilleries including raw material management, distilling, and by-products. This role is 100% based onsite.

What You Can Expect

Provide leadership and vision to the distillery production organization to meet short and long-term operating objectives. Accomplish plant objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and result measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.

In partnership with Distilleries Manager develops production schedules to meet annual volume and collaborates on grain, fuels and other raw materials procurement.

Ensures reliability and consistency of production, product quality, governmental compliance, employee safety, and environmental impact.

Provide coaching to direct reports for personal development and growth. Resolve performance issues through coaching and/or coordination with HR for training and development. Lead the performance management process.

Collaborate with Distilleries Manager and Finance Manager to develop the annual operating budget. Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to meet or exceed the operational budget.

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, business or related field with experience in distillery leadership roles, leading and developing people and teams. Equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered.

Demonstrated understanding of distillery operations and equipment, continuous improvement methodologies, as well as quality, safety and environmental practices.

Demonstrated inclusive leadership and excellent communication skills. Ability to build and sustain excellent business relationships internally and externally.

Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen.

Ability to diagnose manufacturing issues and problem solve solutions to increase operational efficiencies and cost control.
