We are seeking online lecturers with a strong Business or Management dissertation supervision background to join our dynamic online faculty.

In this role, you will lead and support MSc or MBA students in completing their dissertations or work-based projects, collaborating closely with our partner, the University of Liverpool. Successful candidates will receive Honorary Recognised Teacher (Online) status from the University.

Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the Dissertation Advisor/Supervisor is to support students in their final projects, using provided learning materials. Responsibilities include:

• Guiding students in planning their dissertations, setting objectives, targets, and deadlines
• Supporting students to meet milestones and complete projects
• Providing feedback on drafts and final submissions
• Guiding research proposals, ethics applications, and overall project progress
• Acting as a second reviewer for proposals and ethics applications
• Assessing and marking final dissertations, including second marking
• Providing feedback to foster academic and personal growth

Support and training will be provided.

Qualifications and Skills

You should have a strong academic background and practical experience in relevant areas, with teaching and assessment experience at postgraduate level, and enthusiasm for online education.

Doctoral qualification in a computer science-related subject, with research and supervision experience in MSc and MBA dissertations.

Experience teaching at UK Higher Education level 7, with excellent IT skills and familiarity with online meeting tools.

Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse cultural backgrounds, and excellent written English communication skills.

Reliable internet connection is essential.

Additional desirable qualifications include experience teaching online, familiarity with UK Higher Education and Quality Assurance, relevant teaching qualifications, Fellowship recognition by Advance HE, and evidence of ongoing scholarly activity.
