Job description

MMP Consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to work on an interim contract with a public sector housing organisation in North West London. £320 per day.


Key Duties:

  1. Inspection reports: findings, causation, remedials, conclusions, and photos-SORs to be utilized.
  2. Drafting of Scott's Schedules.
  3. Focus on case management and closure.
  4. Strong knowledge of legal disrepair protocols, including the Landlord and Tenant Act (Section 11), Section 9A, and the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act.
  5. Post-inspection tracker updates and completion.
  6. Responses to MP inquiries, Councillor complaints, and Ombudsman cases.

Experience / Qualifications:

  1. HNC, HND, BTEC HND or higher, in a building discipline, or over 5 years of hands-on experience in related repairs surveying/construction from a trade background.
  2. Experience managing legal disrepair cases.
  3. Good understanding of damp and structural issues.
