Base pay range

TristoneNash is working with a provider of affordable housing, recruiting a Disrepair Surveying Manager on a permanent basis.

You will lead a team of Surveyors and serve as the technical expert in property-related surveying duties, providing knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and regulations across the business.

Responsibilities include managing legal disrepair claims, representing the organization as an expert witness in court, and ensuring compliance with the Pre Action-Protocol for Housing Condition claims.

You will also design, review, and implement strategies to improve stock data quality, increase data intelligence, and reduce disrepair cases.

Using a proactive approach, collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality services to all homes within the operating area.

To qualify, candidates should have:

  • Experience as an expert witness in legal disrepair cases.
  • RICS qualification or extensive relevant experience in legal disrepair management or as an Environment Health Officer.
  • Knowledge of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System and related legislation.
  • Proven experience in building maintenance or surveying.
  • Ability to diagnose complex maintenance issues.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
