Job summary

L&Q Living in London and the South East is seeking a Disrepair Multi Maintenance Technician to undertake a range of high-quality repairs across our housing stock. The role focuses on first-time right repairs with excellent customer service, working flexibly across resident homes with occasional office attendance.

Core hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with enhanced earnings from callouts. A manual driving license is essential, and NVQ or equivalent is preferred.

• Sound working trade knowledge and experience.
• Experience in maintenance, site and/or housing environment.
• NVQ or equivalent preferred.
• Able to deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of tasks including internal/external door fitting, locksmith, bathroom, kitchen repairs and other general maintenance tasks.
• Possibly carry out internal/external window repairs including glazing and door repairs.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and first-time-right service to residents.

Title: Disrepair Multi Maintenance Technician

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours.

Salary: £41,200 per annum

Grade: 05

Working Location:London & Southeast

Persona: Mobile worker - contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required

Join our Repairs Team at L&Q:

Our Disrepair Team in Property Services are looking for multi skilled Maintenance Technicians to join their team. The focus will be on high-quality work, outstanding customer service, and a right first-time attitude.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and well-established team, conducting a diverse range of repairs and maintenance work across our housing stock.

It is essential to have a manual driving license to carry out this role.

Your impact in the role:

Our Multi trade technicians are expected to conduct a range of tasks inclusive of internal and external door fitting, Splice repairs, General Locksmith, bathroom Sub Floors, Bath panels and framework kitchen repairs/refits and Other general Maintenance repairs.

Ideally you will also be able to conduct internal/external window repairs including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits and repairs.

It is important to have effective communication skills, have experience of working in a building and/or housing maintenance environment including a knowledge of a varied housing stock.

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to L&Q and as a first line of contact to our residents. We expect our operatives to have outstanding customer service and ability to deliver a rightfirst-timeservice. Limiting follow ons and increasing satisfaction.

Core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in general. There is the opportunity to earn more from call outs and out of hours service.
