Job summary

L&Q is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician UPVC Carpenter to join our Reactive Maintenance Team in North London. The role covers internal/external window repairs, glazing, doors, lock refits, and carpentry tasks with a van provided for travel from home base.

You will work across the North London region (Hackney, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Barnet, Enfield) and potentially beyond. The position offers permanent, full-time hours and a route to enhanced service delivery with strong

Title: Maintenance Technician UPVC Carpenter

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week

Salary: £41,200 per annum

Grade: DM Tech 05

Location: North London*

Persona: Mobile Working (van provided) contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required

Join our Repairs Team at L&Q:

L&Q are looking for an experienced Multi trader/UPVC operative to work within our Reactive Maintenance Team.

*Our North London region is one of our largest operational areas, covering Hackney, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea and Barnet and Enfield. While successful candidates will be allocated a primary working area, they will be expected to work across the wider region ad hoc to support service delivery.

The role will be dealing with all aspects of internal/external window repairs including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits and repairs.

Carpentry skills will be required for you to fulfil this role.

Our Operatives are supplied with an L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment. You will begin the day from your home address where you will travel to jobs which are distributed to your PDA (hand-held device).

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to L&Q and as a first line of contact to our residents we expect you to have outstanding customer service and ability to deliver a right first-time service. Limiting follow ons and increasing satisfaction.

Our in-house maintenance team core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in general. There is the opportunity to earn more from call outs and out of hours service.
