About Our Client

My client is an award-winning housing association based in Greater Manchester who provides over 8000 homes to tenants across the area.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage disrepair cases, ensuring compliance with housing laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the investigation, inspection, and resolution of disrepair complaints.
  • Develop and implement proactive strategies to minimise disrepair claims and improve overall service delivery.
  • Work closely with contractors, legal teams, and residents to facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Ensure robust documentation and record-keeping for all disrepair cases.
  • Manage and support a team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Stay up to date with housing regulations, disrepair case law, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents, ensuring their concerns are addressed in a professional and empathetic manner.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience in disrepair management or a similar capacity within the housing sector. You will need a strong understanding of housing law, disrepair regulations, and the processes involved in resolving claims. Leadership experience is essential, as you will be managing a team and ensuring that service standards are met consistently. The ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders is also key.
