Job Description
Overall Purpose:
To provide high-quality legal advice and support within the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, contributing to the ongoing development of both the department and the firm.

Financial Management: Achieve operating targets for fee earning.
Marketing: Engage in marketing initiatives, including writing articles, presenting at seminars, and participating in video content.
Safeguarding: Identify and protect vulnerable clients.
Compliance: Report any issues promptly to the Head of Department, manage complaints effectively, and ensure adherence to SRA requirements and CPD obligations.
Deliver high-quality, timely, and professional advice on a diverse range of litigation matters, including contentious probate, TOLATA, property disputes, commercial/company disputes, insolvency, professional negligence, and debt claims. Manage cases ranging from Small Claims to Multi-Track and conduct site visits and external meetings as necessary.
Represent clients (both claimants and defendants) throughout all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing disclosure, and overseeing trial, settlement, and appeal processes.
Undertake advocacy on behalf of clients at preliminary and possession hearings, utilizing in-person, telephone, or video-link formats.
Draft court documents, witness statements, pleadings, and court forms in accordance with CPR, prepare cost schedules/Form H budgets, and compile court and mediation bundles.
Instruct and liaise with external counsel when required.
Collaborate with the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team to manage client inquiries via email, telephone, and in-person, following the firm’s new inquiries policy. Develop a personal caseload through referrals and marketing efforts.
Assist colleagues with their files as needed.
Effectively manage the financial aspects of client files, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Meet and exceed performance targets, including billing, time recording, and caseload management, while maintaining confidentiality of all company and client information.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Conduct regular file reviews and audits, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
