Overview

An award-winning, multi-practice regional firm is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join our collaborative and professional team. We offer clear progression opportunities and work with a loyal client base, including high-net-worth individuals, on a broad range of complex and high-value commercial, construction, property, contractual, and professional disputes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an independent and varied caseload of commercial disputes, including construction disputes with adjudications and commercial landlord and tenant matters, with minimal supervision.
  • Advise clients on commercial litigation, including JVA disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, providing practical guidance on strategy, risks, and resolution options.
  • Handle property litigation, including disputes concerning easements, restrictive covenants, injunctive proceedings, boundary disputes, adverse possession, and property damage claims, as well as residential possession claims.
  • Act for clients in contentious trusts and probate disputes.
  • Conduct mediations and arbitrations, providing strategic and commercially focused advice.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, and other professionals to ensure smooth case progression and effective outcomes.
Experience & Qualifications Required
  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience in commercial, construction, property, contractual, and professional disputes.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in litigation, mediation, and arbitration, including drafting pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercial advice and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Motivated to progress and develop within a regional award-winning firm.
  • Comfortable engaging in business development initiatives and professional networking when required.
