The Role

We are looking for a Paralegal/Legal assistant with practical experience of working in a law firm, preferably with a knowledge of Litigation, to join our busy team in Hertford.

The role will include (but not limited to)

  • Handling new enquiries
  • Opening files (including updating spreadsheet & doing conflict checks)
  • Fee earner diary management
  • Arranging appointments
  • Accounts work, billing, receipt of funds, chasing clients for payment/payment on account, making payments, liaising with the Accounts department
  • Assisting fee earners with bundles, collating documents etc
  • Chasing third parties for responses including the court, counsel and the opponents solicitors
