My client is a legal 500 law firm, seeking a newly qualified to 1 year post-qualification solicitor to join their growing Dispute Resolution team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in both property and civil/commercial litigation, with a strong background in working with privately paying clients.

You will be responsible for:
  • Managing a varied litigation caseload across property and commercial disputes.
  • Advising clients on legal options and strategy, and progressing cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Delivering a high standard of client care and maintaining regular and clear communication.
  • Handling correspondence, negotiations, and, where appropriate, conducting advocacy.
  • Recording time accurately, ensuring timely billing, and assisting with department operations.
  • Staying current with legal developments relevant to your practice area.
  • Supporting junior team members as appropriate and collaborating across departments.
  • Engaging in business development activities and building client relationships.
  • The Ideal Candidate:
  • NQ to 1 year PQE with practical experience in litigation.
  • Experience in property litigation, including landlord possession claims, disrepair, tenancy disputes, leasehold issues, service charge disputes, and breaches of lease.
  • Experience in commercial litigation, particularly contractual disputes.
  • Background in privately funded client work (individuals and SMEs).
  • Strong advocacy skills (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills and commercial awareness.
  • Current Practicing Certificate.
