Job summary

Travers Smith LLP in London is seeking two Associates to join its award-winning Dispute Resolution department on a permanent basis. Associates will deliver outstanding client service while working collaboratively with Partners and Counsel.

Successful candidates will demonstrate technical excellence, commercial acumen and an agile approach to complex disputes, including investor disputes, arbitration and investigations across cross-border matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in a Common Law jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years' experience working in a similar role, advising on a range of complex and sizeable disputes matters.
• Outstanding academic record.
• Strong drafting and commercial acumen.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a collegiate environment.
• Experience of diligent management of a diverse caseload.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the full lifecycle of a range of cases, with plenty of opportunity for client contact, working directly with Counsel and dealing with opposing solicitors.
• Lead on procedural matters and contribute to shaping the strategic direction of a case from start to finish.
