Job Title: Display Build Operative & Fitter

Company: Marflow Engineering Limited, part of the Sanbra Group.

Location: Birmingham, England. With UK wide travel.

Reporting To: Quality & Operations Manager

Hours: Full Time. Overtime and overnight stays likely required regularly.

Role Overview

This is a varied, multi-skilled customer facing role, sitting within the Operations & Quality department of Marflow which is part of the Sanbra Group and trades under the brand name “St James”. This is a new role within an expanding business, with opportunities for future advancement for the right candidate. As a customer facing role, the Display Build Operative & Fitter is a brand ambassador and a professional representative of the St James brand.

The focus of the role is to build product displays and fit them in customer showrooms. This involves picking components, using hand or power tools and assembling bathroom products onto display boards, packing them safely for transit and then dispatching to customers. Additionally, this includes driving to customer premises to fit display boards & products directly. This will require regular travel within the UK, possibly some overtime hours depending on customer location, and some overnight stays when undertaking fit outs.

The role requires the ability to quickly build rapport with customers and work alongside Sales Representatives to provide an excellent display fit service, as well as creative thinking to solve any issues that arise during fit outs.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Build product displays & point of sale, onsite at Marflow premises, using hand / power tools to assemble products onto display units.
• Install display boards, POS, and products in customer showrooms.
• Operate safely, following health & safety regulations and procedures both in the warehouse environment and when working offsite in customers’ premises.
• Safely resolve any onsite practical issues such as unexpected complications when fitting.
• Represent the Company professionally in all interactions with Customers, leaving a positive image of the Brand & Company.
• Ensure display materials are fitted in accordance with Brand Guidelines.

Driving Requirements: 

• Full UK or EU driving licence.
• Minimum of 6 months driving experience.
• Below 6 penalty points, preferably none.
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.
• Licences must be up to date with full name (as shown on your other identification) and current home address.
• Tiling or Bathroom Fitting Experience.
• Plumbing Experience or Training.
• Ability to take responsibility for and supervise the work of others, with the opportunity for advancement as staff numbers in display build & technical grow.
