Job summary

Empingham Medical Centre is recruiting a Dispenser to join our dispensary team, serving 9,000+ patients in Rutland. We are a GP practice with a full complement of staff including clinical pharmacists.

You will dispense prescriptions accurately, manage stock, and support patients with medication queries while collaborating with prescribers and the wider healthcare team to ensure safe supply of medicines. NVQ2 in Dispensing Services and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing Services or equivalent.
• Experience in dispensing GP practice or pharmacy.
• Understanding of dispensing procedures and medicines management.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Dispense acute and repeat prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Process electronic, phone, or in-person prescription requests.
• Maintain patient medication records and assist with queries.
• Order medicines and manage stock levels.
• Work with clinicians to ensure safe medicine supply.
