Beechfield Medical Centre, a well-established GP practice in Spalding, Lincolnshire, is recruiting for a Dispensary role within the Practice Team. The job focuses on dispensing prescriptions, stock control, and maintaining high standards of practice compliance.

Reporting to the Dispensary Manager, you will useDispense-It and Nomad systems, place orders, and ensure timely supply while adhering to SOPs and regulatory requirements. Join a team serving around 21,500 patients.

Qualifications

Dispense medicines and appliances according to SOPs, laws and regulations.
Maintain stock levels and prompt reordering to avoid shortages.
Communicate with staff and GPs to coordinate patient care.

Responsabilités

To dispense medicines and appliances according to SOPs, laws and regulations using the Dispense-It and Nomad systems.
To store all dispensed medications properly and according to manufacturers’ instructions and laws.
To collect prescription charges and ensure patient declarations are completed and signed.
To ensure monies are stored and recorded correctly and to endorse forms for payment.
To file invoices and forward correspondence to Finance Manager.
To monitor stock control to ensure continuity of patient supply and minimize wastage.
To place daily orders with wholesalers within cut-off times for prompt delivery.
To enter stock data (quantities, prices, batch numbers, expiry dates) in the computer system.
