Job summary

Boots Opticians is seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician to deliver high‑level customer care and expert eyewear advice in store. You will report to the Store Manager and support the Optical team with skilled dispensing and clinical guidance.

The role focuses on customer service, accurate dispensing, and collaboration to ensure legal, efficient store operations while helping customers find the best eyewear solution. A commitment to ongoing CPD is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Commitment to CPD training as part of the GOC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in store for regulated dispensing.
• Share knowledge to inspire the Optical team and ensure excellent service.
• Listen to customer needs and offer expert advice.
• Help customers choose eyewear and ensure best product fit.
• Support the team to deliver efficient day-to-day operations and legal compliance.
• Provide expert knowledge for patients with specialist requirements.
