Job summary

Zest Optical are recruiting a full-time Dispensing Optician for Romsey, Hampshire. You will provide personalised dispensing advice, input into frame buying, practice development and patient care in a modern independent practice with boutique eyewear.

The role offers a £30,000 basic salary plus bonus up to £6,000, total earnings up to £36,000. Working five days a week including Saturdays, 9am-5pm, with opportunities to take on more responsibility in a small, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC.
• Passion for independent eyewear and personalised patient care.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and able to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised dispensing advice based on prescription, lifestyle and preferences.
• Offer frame styling consultations with independent eyewear from around the world.

Zest Optical are working with a patient focused independent opticians in Romsey, Hampshire to recruit a full time Dispensing Optician.

Dispensing Optician - Role

• Work within a modern, spacious independent practice
• Provide personalised dispensing advice, taking time to understand each patient's prescription, lifestyle and preferences
• Offer frame styling consultations using handpicked independent eyewear from around the world
• Work with quality lenses, primarily Essilor, alongside access to Hoya, Zeiss and specialist suppliers
• Develop your experience with complex prescriptions and myopia management
• Join an experienced team including Dispensing Opticians, a Contact Lens Optician and optical support
• Work within a practice offering OCT, Optomap, specialist contact lenses and Ortho-K
• Contribute to frame selection, new collections and ideas to improve the patient experience
• Opportunity to share management responsibilities, depending on your interests and experience
• Support with ongoing learning, product knowledge and professional development
• Opportunities to attend optical trade shows and industry trips
• Full time, five days per week including every Saturday
• Working hours of 9am-5pm, with a weekday off
• Closed Sundays and bank holidays
