What will I do as an Optical and Hearing Assistant?

This role is vital to our family business. You will be the first to greet customers, setting a welcoming tone for their visit, as personalising the customer experience aligns with our values. This approach has contributed to our expansion to 35 branches since 1928.

The role of our Dispensing Assistants is integral to our customer-facing duties, including: dispensing spectacles, conducting pre-screening assessments, performing retinal imaging examinations using OCT and Optomap equipment, which are part of our ongoing technical and personal development programs.

We stock a wide range of frames and accessories from top brands, offering bespoke consultative advice tailored to customers' prescriptions, styles, and budgets. Your expert insights will enhance the customer journey in hearing and eye care.

Am I suitable?

This is a full-time role at our Bishop's Stortford branch, working five days a week, Tuesday to Saturday. We seek individuals with strong customer service skills and a drive to go the extra mile. Experience in retail, hospitality, or caregiving is desirable but not essential.
