Job summary

Superdrug Stores in Southport is seeking a friendly, customer-focused team member to join our pharmacy. We welcome qualified Dispensers and those starting as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant; 16 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday, with flexible hours.

You will support counter sales and stock replenishment, assist in the dispensary and counter service, and ensure customers are served with care and professionalism.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent).
• No prior experience required – enthusiasm for healthcare and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment.
• Delivering service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary.
• Ensuring customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Location: Southport

Hours: 16 hours per week, Tuesday - Friday, 9.30 - 13.30 with flexibility

Salary: Up to £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour depending on age (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment

We’re Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
