Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Dispenser to join our ever-growing team. The ideal candidate will have certification as a pharmacy technician or dispenser, along with prior experience in a healthcare setting.

The role will be responsible for accurately dispensing pharmaceutical products and medical devices, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense pharmaceutical products and medical devices according to prescription orders, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct thorough checks on dispensed products to verify accuracy, expiration dates, and proper labelling.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders with inquiries related to dispensed products.
  • Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, assisting with stock management, reordering, and expiration date checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispensed products and related documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow safety and hygiene protocols for handling pharmaceutical products, including the proper disposal of expired or unused items.

Requirements:

  • NVQ2 qualification as a pharmacy dispenser.
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy, hospital, or healthcare setting is an advantage.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical products, their uses, and relevant regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing and compliance with safety standards.
  • Good organisational skills to manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
