The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London.

About the opportunity

As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

In the healthcare department, you will build great relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your duties include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to support patients in making informed health decisions. Every day, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Dispensing prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  2. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
  3. Providing care and advice to patients about medicines and referring queries to the Pharmacist when appropriate.
  4. Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe and legal dispensing.
  5. Staying updated with new innovations and complying with operational processes.
  6. Supporting patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
  7. Working with new technologies to improve dispensing processes and enhance patient safety.

You will receive regular training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career advancement, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or part of the store leadership team.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent).

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
