Job Description for Pharmacy Role at Boots

Salary: £13.32 per hour

Location: Boots Regional Dispensing Hub, above Boots Distribution Centre, Rutherford Road, Basingstoke

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 06:00-22:00, including Saturdays with days off on Sunday and another weekday (full-time)

The Boots Regional Dispensing Hub (RDH) is an advanced, semi-automated pharmacy opening in September 2025 in Basingstoke. It combines pharmacy and logistics operations, utilizing technology and automation to centrally fill repeat prescriptions and dispatch within 24 hours. This hub supports stores across the region, enabling healthcare teams to spend more time with patients and offer a broader range of services.

Requirements

• Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent)
• Ability to work quickly and accurately
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Punctuality and good time management
• Adherence to health and safety standards and operational procedures

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a distance selling pharmacy
• Experience in warehousing or logistics (advantageous but not essential)
