Dispensary Pharmacist - NHS Hospital - Band 6 - Oxford

Are you a Pharmacist seeking a new opportunity? Do you want to develop your skillset? Hunter Gatherer AHP has locum opportunities for Pharmacists seeking hospital-based positions in Oxford.

The team is seeking Pharmacists to join their dispensary from April 2024. This is a fantastic chance for career progression, as training will be provided across various dispensary aspects depending on your skill set. Previous hospital experience is not required.

Duties of a Dispensary Pharmacist:

1. Take professional responsibility for the clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure accuracy, legality, safety, and effectiveness of prescribed medication in line with pharmacy SOP.
2. Identify potential risks to patients when screening prescriptions and resolve relevant issues prior to dispensing.
3. Liaise with doctors and nurses to resolve any queries arising from the screening process.
4. Provide advice on the safe prescribing and administration of medicines.
5. Participate in stock review, including controlled drugs, and ensure medicines are kept safely and securely.

- Locum Band 6 Pharmacists needed

- NHS Hospital, Oxford

- £24 - £28 hourly rate (dependent on experience)

- GPhC Registration required

- Ongoing contract, with the possibility of permanent employment upon review

- Start date: July 2024
