Gordons Chemists in Lisburn are seeking a part-time Dispensary Assistant to join the Pharmacy and Dispensing team. You will help prepare prescriptions, support the pharmacist with dispensing services, and assist with orders, date checks, and prescription handling.

The role emphasizes customer service, confidentiality, and attention to detail, with flexibility to work across Gordons Chemist branches in the area. UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NPA Interact or equivalent qualification is required.
• NPA Dispensary Assistants qualification or willingness to complete is essential.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of prescriptions and delivery of professional services.
• Support Pharmacist to provide safe dispensing in store with patient confidentiality.
• Assist with orders, date checks, receiving prescriptions and related tasks.
• Assist on medicines counter when required and deliver/collect prescriptions as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional appearance.

Position: Dispensary Assistant (Part Time / Permanent) Location: Gordons Chemists, 54-56 Bow Street, Lisburn, BT28 1BN Department: Pharmacy and Dispensing Closing date: Monday 02 November 2026 Duties Include:

• Assist in preparation of prescriptions and delivery of professional services
• Assist Pharmacist in providing an efficient, accurate and safe dispensing service in store, ensuring patient confidentiality
• Assist Pharmacist with other dispensary related tasks e.g. orders, date checks, receiving prescriptions etc.
• Assist on the medicines counter when required
• Delivery and collection of prescriptions when required
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain professional standards of dress and grooming
• Other duties as required
• Have an interest in Pharmacy and Dispensing
• Be hard working and enthusiastic
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills
• Have the ability to work as part of a team

• Previous relevant dispensary experience
• Good understanding of professional services

• Full, UK driving license and have own vehicle
