Job description

We are looking for a temporary Full Time Dispensary Assistant to join our team in our Darley Dale Medical Centre pharmacy in Darley Dale. This is a temporary, 10 month position, covering Maternity Leave.

The hours of this position will be 41.33 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9-6 (1hr lunch) and Saturday 9am-1pm (1 in 3).

The Role Will Include

  • Carry out dispensing duties under the supervision of the Pharmacist manager
  • Ensure all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Respond appropriately to customer needs, politely and efficiently, by asking appropriate questions, following the Standard Operating Procedures for Sale of Medicines and Supporting Self-care.
  • To maintain the pharmacy to a high standard.
  • To monitor stock levels and adapt orders appropriately.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Be qualified to NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services
  • Have previous community pharmacy or retail experience
  • Be willing to undertake the relevant training in Pharmacy Services if necessary
  • Be able to deliver excellent customer service and work as part of a team
