Dispatch Transport Clerk – Day Shifts (Temp to Perm)

Location: Aylesford

Shift Patterns Available:

  • Sunday to Wednesday, 07:00 – 19:00
  • Wednesday to Saturday, 07:00 – 19:00

Type: Temporary to Permanent

Pay: £13.16 per hour during the week, £15.79 per hour on weekends

About the Role

We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Dispatch Transport Clerk to join our busy transport operations team on a day shift pattern. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate to build a long-term career in logistics. You will play a key role in supporting the transport department with planning, dispatch paperwork, yard checks, and driver liaison — ensuring everything runs smoothly and in full compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in transport planning and vehicle scheduling.
  • Accurately enter and manage dispatch paperwork and delivery documentation.
  • Conduct yard trailer checks and report any discrepancies.
  • Liaise with drivers to ensure clear communication and timely dispatches.
  • Monitor and support compliance with transport regulations and internal procedures.
  • Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint to manage and share transport information effectively.
  • Maintain a clear and professional telephone manner when dealing with internal teams and external partners.
