Job description

Job Title: Dispatch Supervisor
Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire
Duration: Permanent
Pay Rate: Circa £30,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Dispatch Supervisor for a permanent position based in Ilkeston.

To support the business in delivering quality products on time and to specification by supervising daily logistics and despatch operations on-site.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Plan daily activities for loaders, including liaising with subcontractors (hauliers) to ensure timely and compliant loading.
* Ensure all manufactured products are quickly moved to storage to maintain production efficiency.
* Coordinate with production and QC teams to ensure products are on time and within specification.
* Ensure compliance with legislative and company health & safety policies.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards across the site.
* Collaborate with management to identify and implement improvements in processes and productivity.
* Communicate proactively with management to resolve issues.
* Work closely with the despatch team to manage the area effectively.
* Supervise the team to meet agreed KPIs.

Qualifications & Training:
* Preferable experience in concrete/precast sector, construction materials, or general construction.
* IOSH Managing Safely (preferred).
* Experience supervising the distribution of large precast elements using mobile cranes.
* Strong communication skills.
* Proven team player, able to work across departments.
* Strong Health, Safety, and Environmental focus.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* FLT, Shunter, and RTG Licences (training provided if needed).
* Experience with loading oversized items.
* Must be motivated to succeed and drive team performance on a high-profile project.
* Slinger Signaller training (past or current).
* First Aid trained.
