Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Warehouse Operative to facilitate product transit through the warehouse, ensuring accurate records of receipt, location and movement align with the quality management system.

Role focuses on maintaining an organised shipping area, accurate labeling, packaging to prevent damage, and generating shipping documents via courier terminals, with duties including stock checks and general housekeeping in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform stock checks and cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shipping area to high standard of organisation and tidy workspace.
• Check labeling and documentation for errors before dispatch and report to supervisor.
• Package products using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
• Generate accurate shipping documents using courier terminals.
• Report shortages of packing materials before running out.
• Support goods in and cross-train as required.
• Assist with stock checks / cycle counts.
• Perform general housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Observe Health and Safety requirements in the area.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Maintain shipping area to a high standard of organisation, ensure your working area is tidy and practice good housekeeping.
• Visually check labelling and associated documentation for any errors on product ready for dispatch and report to the warehouse manager/supervisor.
• Package product to a high standard, ensuring that the correct packing material is used to ensure the product is not damaged during transit.
• Use of the courier shipping terminals to ensure the accurate generation of all necessary documentation.
• Report any shortages of packing material before running out the warehouse manager.
• Support of goods in when required. Cross training to be provided.
• Assist on stock checks/cycle counts.
• General housekeeping duties within the warehouse when required.
• Ensure Health and Safety requirements are observed in the area and within the warehouse.
