Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Dispatch Operative for the late shift to efficiently pull and pack finished orders for both domestic and international shipments.

Role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to reconcile orders. Training will cover ERP usage and health/safety protocols. The position runs 2.30pm–11pm, Monday to Friday, with a starting wage in the £13–£14.50 per hour range.

Qualifications

• Requires GSCE/NVQ or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Experience with packaging and shipping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull and package finished orders for domestic and international transit.
• Follow health, safety and risk management guidelines.
• Label shipping cartons with accuracy and identify shipping information.

Dispatch Operative Required ASAP Reading. Late Shoft 2.30pm - 11pm £13 - £14.50/hour

Role

Dispatch operative is responsible for correctly pulling and packaging finished orders in preparation for international and domestic transit. This position requires high attention to detail with the ability to reconcile orders. Basic computer skills are essential.

Working Hours

2.30pm - 11pm Monday to Friday (Late Shift)

Education

GSCE/NVQ or equivalent

Experience

• Packaging & shipping of industrial components preferred
• Processing of goods through company or third-party systems

Main Job Duties

• Understand and follow all aspects of health, safety and risk management as set out by the company
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against orders and records.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Packages select preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
• Use of computer programs such as ERP, Internet, regularly throughout the shift.
• Loading/Unloading of company or third-party vehicles.
• Operate company forklift trucks & manual handling equipment for department and in support of other departments in the plant.
• Undertake and complete all company mandated training.

• Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
