Role description: Project Support

We’re looking for a compassionate, organised, and proactive DiscoverMe Project Worker to join our dedicated team and lead the delivery of vital local support to young people in the community.

Job title: DiscoverMe Project Worker

Hours: 22.5 to 30 hours per week

Salary: £26,213pa pro-rata

Contract Type: This role is fixed-term until March 2026 with the potential for extension depending on funding.

Responsible to: Health Projects Manager

Job Purpose: To support young people in North Tyneside to design and deliver activities that aim to improve the mental health and wellbeing of their peers and their local communities.

Summary: To promote DiscoverMe locally, ensure smooth intake of young people, deliver effective sessions, support volunteers, and maintain efficient project operations.

Promotion & Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key services, attending meetings and delivering engaging presentations and workshops.
  • Keep the website, social media, and newsletters updated with relevant and engaging content.
  • Organise taster sessions and develop strategies to engage a diverse range of young people.

Referrals & Sign-ups

  • Manage incoming Expressions of Interest, ensuring timely follow-ups with both professionals and young people.
  • Conduct regular meetings with young people to guide them through the sign-up process, ensuring they are prepared for sessions.
