About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. Position Details

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM, and the post is NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde board-wide.

Note: Salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.

Role Responsibilities

Working as part of the Discharge Team, you will provide specialist discharge advice and interventions to staff, patients, relatives, and carers across all directorates within the Acute Services Division. The team includes Discharge Lounges and the Acute Homeless Liaison Team, operating board-wide within the Acute Adult General Hospitals.

Candidate Requirements
  • First-level registered adult nurse on the NMC register with significant post-registration experience in acute and/or community settings.
  • Must have Band 6 experience.
  • Proven management experience and excellent knowledge of discharge planning in acute care are essential.
