Job summary

Kent County Council in Ashford seeks a full-time Social Worker for the Disabled Children's Team South. You will manage a caseload across children in need, children in care and, where experienced, child protection work with partners in health, education and the voluntary sector.

The role requires excellent written English, strong organisational, communication and IT skills, and the ability to engage with children, young people and families within a confidential professional environment.

Qualifications

• A high standard of written English is essential for report writing and records.
• Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills are required.
• Ability to engage with children, young people and families and carers.
• Registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England is required.
• A Full UK Driving Licence is preferred/required where possible.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of children in need, children in care and, where experienced, child protection cases.
• Work with Disabled Children's Team South across Ashford, Dover and Folkestone areas.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive written records and reports.
• Collaborate with partners in health, education and the voluntary sector.
