Job summary

The University of Chester is seeking a full-time Disability Support Officer to join our Student Services department under the Disability and Inclusion team. You will work directly with disabled students and applicants to ensure they are able to access reasonable adjustments to live and study independently.

A degree (or equivalent level qualification), experience of working with disabled people and excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with an ability to work in

• Ability to work in a demanding environment to meet tight deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of support for disabled students in Higher Education.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with disabled students and applicants to ensure access to reasonable adjustments.
• Be flexible and able to work across University sites with some homeworking.
• Contribute to a supportive, collaborative Student Services environment.
